Taryn Markee, PhD

Dr. Markee earned a Master's degree and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena, CA (fully accredited by the American Psychological Association) in 1994. She completed a Clinical Psychology Internship at the VA Medical Center, Sepulveda, CA and a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Geriatric Psychology and Neuropsychology at the UCLA School of Medicine. In 2013, Dr. Markee completed a two-year psychoanalytic psychotherapy program at the Oregon Psychoanalytic Center. She is currently licensed in Washington and Oregon. 

Dr. Markee uses a psychoanalytic approach in her treatment of most individuals in therapy. Other approaches are sometimes used in specific cases where more structure is warranted, including identifying and working toward specific objectives. Her practice involves providing a variety of services ranging from brief consultation to long term therapy.

Lawrence Moore, PhD

Dr. Moore earned a Master’s degree and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena, CA (fully accredited by the American Psychological Association). He completed a Clinical Psychology Internship at the VA Medical Center, West Los Angeles, CA and a two year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neuropsychology at the UCLA School of Medicine. He is licensed in Washington and Oregon. His early research was in HIV/AIDS and his current clinical expertise is in the assessment of neurodegenerative disorders in older adults, stroke, head injury, ADHD, and complex neuropsychiatric conditions. Dr. Moore utilizes objective testing, but also works in a collaborative manner with referring providers and patients in order to understand the history and broader context for each unique situation.

 

Amanda Huffman

Amanda is the scheduling and office administrator and has been at Markee and Moore Psychologists, Inc., since the fall of 2021. She brings compassion, professionalism, attention to detail and organization to the office and patients. Amanda graduated cum laude from Azusa Pacific University in 1999 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. Amanda is also a part-time affiliate marketing manager for a Pinterest marketing company after a long, distinguished career in marketing for various publishing companies. She is also a proud wife and mother of four and is the Co-Founder and Director of Avery Huffman DIPG Foundation, which was established in May 2016 to honor the legacy and fight of her 7-year old daughter, Avery, who was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) in June of 2015 and bravely fought this terminal cancer for 7.5 months before succumbing to the disease in early 2016. She also serves as the Vice President to the Board of Directors.
